Undermining African Union’s efforts for social, economic and political integration of the continent for long, Eritrea has now appointed its former ambassador in Ethiopia as its ambassador in the African Union (AU), resources disclose.
Despite his escalating roles in the severe bloody conflict between Ethiopia and Eritrea, Ambassador Girma Asmerom has now appointed ambassador of Eritrea in the AU.

Girma Asmerom had greater roles in aggravating the bloody conflict between Ethiopia and Eritrea, some independent sources said, adding that he had a considerable role in instigating Eritreans who were residing in Ethiopia to participate in illegal activities that he taught damages the security of the country.

The sources said that his negative role in dissociating the people of Eritrea from the people of Ethiopia has left an incurable wound in the minds of millions of people.

Many people believe that the appointed ambassador won’t contribute any thing different from what he had been doing while he was in Ethiopia as Eritrean ambassador before the severe conflict for which he had an escalating role.

Many political analysts argue that Eritrea has for long been looking down the efforts exerted by the African Union and the regional organization IGAD in bringing lasting peace and ensuring regional integrity.

In this regard, the despot government called off its membership alleging the AU and IGAD describing them incapable, inefficient and impossible to lay trust on them, the analysts added.

According to the analysts, Issayas and his advocates have identity crises that they fail to accept their being Africans; neither do they have confidence both in the continental and regional institutions.

President Isaias Afwerki of Eritrea had insulted the AU as an organization with out teeth before ten years ago, they went on to say.

The despot state in Eritrea is appointing its ambassador to African Union not based on the beliefs of commonalities among the Africans, the analysts said, adding that ruling party in Eritrea has respect neither to the African Union nor to the African people as it has openly and consistently been rejecting them. Its coming to the African Union seems only to search a new angle of destabilizing the continent.

Isay-ass went to Egypt recently to support Egypt over nine Africans countries on the most vital issue river Nile for that reason alone it should be expelled for good from AU. Nothing good comes out with that little East African cancer. Don’t try to tell me Egypt is an African country...leave there for one day and convince me.

Peaceful
Eritrea – Djibouti Agreement

The Embassy of the United States of America welcomes the signing of the June 6, 2010 agreement between President Isaias of Eritrea and President Guelleh of Djibouti allowing the State of Qatar to mediate the border dispute between the two countries. The Embassy views this agreement as an important first step toward achieving renewed peace and stability in the region. It is encouraging that the two countries have shown willingness to resolve this dispute peacefully. The Embassy urges Eritrea and Djibouti to work together for a rapid, peaceful settlement.

As you slightly touched on in your story, the activities of the would be Eritrean AU ambassador
has done incalculable damage to Ethiopia during his last stay in the country. His deragatory and poisonous propaganda against the country contiuned after his departure from Addis. The fact that Isayas Afeworki had the unmitigated gall to name this guy to live in Addis tells volumes about his attitude towards the government and people of Ethiopia. He is counting on the bending-overbackward accomodating nature of our country to Eritrea. Accepting the appointment by the Ethiopian government of this political midget and prostitute would be a greater and a more painful insult to the Ethiopian people by their own govermnet.
