5 tips for the perfect hiking shoe

Try in the afternoon: feet swell throughout the day, so the fitting should be done in the afternoon or evening. This ensures that the shoe will fit throughout the day.
Think big: the shoe fits in the shop optimally? Then prefer to “push” again – because between big toe and shoe should be at least a finger-width distance. After all, the shoes are not only uphill, but also downhill, where the feet push themselves forward when unrolling.
Firm heel: If it slips a little at the heel, then it is almost a blown hair. Slipping in the heel is forbidden!
Artificial course preferred: some shops offer to try the shoe on an artificial course uphill and downhill – so you develop a good feeling for the fit.
